The Prosecutor General, Zagorka Dolovac, participated in the Consultative Forum of Prosecutors General of the Western Balkans, which was organized by Eurojust and was held on June 6, 2024 in Budva.
At the Consultative Forum, the importance of the international cooperation of the prosecutor's offices of the Western Balkans with each other and with the countries of the European Union was highlighted for the common fight against crime in Europe, and the willingness of Eurojust to support cross-border cooperation through its operational mechanisms for coordinating investigations and joint actions, as well as through the WB CRIMJUST project, was emphasized, in order to improve interaction and integration between the EU and the Western Balkans in the field of criminal justice.
At a bilateral meeting with the Prosecutor General of Serbia, the President of Eurojust Ladislav Hamran particularly praised the cooperation of the Serbian Public Prosecution Office with Eurojust, which is the biggest in the region, and expressed his willingness to continue and improve this cooperation.
Zagorka Dolovac emphasized the importance of coordinated international cooperation through Eurojust in the fight against organized crime and other serious transnational crimes, and stressed that the Public Prosecution Office of Serbia will continue to be a reliable partner in the joint fight against crime in the European judicial area.
As part of this visit, the Supreme Public Prosecutor of Serbia, Zagorka Dolovac, also held a bilateral meeting with the Supreme State Prosecutor of Montenegro, Miodrag Marković, at which full support and readiness for close cooperation in specific cases in the fight against crime was expressed.
