Prosecutor General Zagorka Dolovac participated in the 28th Annual Conference of the International Association of Prosecutors, from September 25-26, 2023 in London, together with general prosecutors and representatives of prosecutor’s offices from over 100 countries in Europe and the world, considering that the Supreme Public Prosecution of the Republic of Serbia is a member of the International Association of Prosecutors.
As part of this conference, focused on the most current issues of the organization and work of public prosecutor’s offices, including electronic evidence and encrypted communication, specialization in criminal prosecution and support for victims and injured parties, bilateral meetings were held with the highest officials of the prosecution of the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
At the meeting with Sir Max Hill, Director of Public Prosecutions of the United Kingdom, the extremely fast and professional provision of international legal assistance by the Supreme Public Prosecution of the Republic of Serbia to the Crown Prosecution Service of the United Kingdom was praised and it was agreed that further cooperation will continue in the form of an exchange of expertise and experience between the Crown Prosecution Service of the United Kingdom and the Supreme Public Prosecution of the Republic of the Republic of Serbia, especially in the field of combating corruption and organized crime.
At the meeting with Mr. Bruce Swartz, Deputy Assistant Attorney General of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, responsible for the work of federal public prosecution, gratitude was expressed for the long-term support provided by the U.S. Department of Justice to the strengthening of the capacity of the public prosecution of Serbia. The Prosecutor General expressed willingness to further develop and improve cooperation with the U.S. Department of Justice and its agencies.
